Its been some 20 years since Thurrock were last involved in the Southend & District and we welcome them back for 2009.  Thurrock last won the Men's Championship in 1962, but have very little local tennis as they dont fall under any of the county's regional league catchment areas.  The Southend League invited them to join after speaking with club Captain Terrance Morgan.  Hopefully we may see them next year in the other competitions including the junior leagues.
